DACHSER hires 642 junior staff throughout Germany

At the start of Germany’s training cycle, the logistics provider welcomed a total of 616 new apprentices in 13 different industrial and commercial professions at its German locations. In addition, 22 students on various dual work-study programs will be completing their practical phases at DACHSER, and four trainees will start the Young Professionals trainee program in October.

DACHSER in the Netherlands puts new warehouse into operation

DACHSER has put a new warehouse into operation at its Dutch site in Waddinxveen near Rotterdam. With space for 10,000 pallets, the new 6,900 square meter storage facility increases the site's capacity to a total of 55,000 pallet spaces.

New location for DACHSER in Freiburg

DACHSER has acquired some 65,000 m2 of real estate in the Breisgau industrial park in Eschbach, a town near Freiburg, Germany. In August 2018, the logistics provider will start construction on a new logistics center, which will include a transit terminal with a total area of 6,117 m2 and 82 docking bays, plus a two-story office building. Completion of construction and the subsequent move are planned for mid-2019.

DACHSER announces Executive Board for the future

After 31 years of close cooperation in operational management positions at DACHSER, CEO Bernhard Simon and his deputy Michael Schilling, COO Road Logistics, will join the logistics provider’s Supervisory Board in 2021, with Bernhard Simon becoming its chairperson. Burkhard Eling, who joined the DACHSER Executive Board as CFO in 2013, will become the new CEO of the family-owned company on January 1, 2021.

DACHSER expands branch in Czech Republic

DACHSER Czech Republic has signed a contract for a new warehouse and administration building for its branch in Ostrava. The overall surface area is 3.900 square metres. Twenty new jobs will be offered in the extended branch. DACHSER plans to move to the new premises in the middle of the summer holidays.
